Johnson & Johnson: The pathway to stopping obstetric fistula
United Nations Population Fund works in partnership with Johnson & Johnson on the Campaign to End Fistula. In preparation for an upcoming conference in Indonesia, J&J asked Hyperakt to help them explain prevention strategies for fistulas in a human voice.
I collaborated closely with the client team to refine a narrative for an infographic through the life of a single, fictionalized girl in a resource-poor country: Amani. After an obstructed labor and suffering from an obstetric fistula, she faces two pathways. Her fate depends on a strong community structure and access to skilled medical care. I managed a team of designers and led copywriting to create a compelling story with a human face to help end this debilitating injury.
